Alexander D. Marks
Partner
Mr. Marks is a partner in the Firm's Litigation practice group. He has extensive experience handling a wide array of commercial disputes in both state and federal court. He also focuses his practice on labor and employment cases, including representing individuals and businesses in discrimination lawsuits and other employment-related contract and tort actions.
Mr. Marks also currently serves as the chair of the Firm’s inaugural Pro Bono Committee.
Mr. Marks is licensed to practice law in Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a member of the Federal Trial Bar.
Mr. Marks received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with high honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, in 2001. He was awarded his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in May 2004, where he was awarded Rickert Awards for excellence in oral advocacy and trial advocacy. During the summer of 2002, Mr. Marks was a legal intern for the Illinois Attorney General's Office and, prior to joining the Firm as an attorney, he was a legal intern at our firm during the summer of 2003.
Mr. Marks has been named an "Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star" for 2012, which recognizes the state's top 2% of up-and-coming attorneys under the age of 40.
