Mr. Manning concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate law, health care, pharmaceutical/biotech, securities law and municipal finance. He serves as Chairman of the Firm's Corporate group and also oversees the Firm's Securities Law practice, including its work in the government finance area. He has wide-ranging experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities underwriting and the financing of a wide array of public and private transactions and projects.

Mr. Manning regularly speaks on the duties of officers and directors, and corporate governance matters. He has previously served on the Illinois Secretary of State's Corporate Law Advisory Committee.

Mr. Manning holds his A.B., cum laude, from Georgetown University in 1971, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He was awarded his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School in 1974.
