Edward J. Lesniak

Mr. Lesniak concentrates his practice on creditors' rights, bankruptcy and banking issues. His experience includes handling automatic stay, cash collateral, preference and plan confirmation litigation in bankruptcy; purchases of assets out of bankruptcy; commercial and residential foreclosures; lender liability defense; debt collection and enforcement; collateral liquidation; loan workouts; debt restructuring; deeds in lieu of foreclosure; and commercial loan documentation. He also has experience in business and real estate purchases and sales, lease transactions, loan transactions and a wide range of corporate matters and business litigation.
Mr. Lesniak has conducted seminars on lender liability prevention and defense and on commercial lending issues, including a series of seminars on strategic loan workouts for the Illinois Bankers' Association.
Mr. Lesniak received his B.S.C. degree from DePaul University in 1971 and was awarded his J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1974. He is an active member of the American Bar Association.
