Patrick D Thompson

Mr. Thompson is a partner and focuses his practice on real estate and municipal finance. He represents entrepreneurial and institutional clients in general real estate, land use and zoning, tax increment financing, public/private financing transactions, development and real estate litigation matters. He also represents developers and property owners in the acquisition and disposition of property, including contract negotiations, due diligence, project financing, and leasing matters.  In addition, Mr. Thompson represents issuers, borrowers and underwriters in connection with public finance projects.

Mr. Thompson received his B.A. from St. Mary's University of Minnesota in 1991. He was awarded his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 1999. Prior to studying law, he served as a leasing representative for a major commercial real estate firm in Chicago.

Mr. Thompson is a member of the Chicago and Illinois State Bar Associations. In 2003, he was appointed to the Illinois Attorney General’s Business Advisory Council to help identify and define the issues facing the business community and recommend resolutions that incorporated the Attorney General’s assistance.
