Tiffany L. Sorge-Smith
Associate
Tiffany Sorge-Smith concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation, including the defense of banks, mortgage lending organizations, and related entities in individual and consumer class actions in state and federal court. She has broad experience representing clients in a variety of other complex commercial litigation matters, including class action, contract, sales, insurance coverage, fraud, mass tort, product liability, bankruptcy, and cross-border disputes through all stages of litigation in state and federal courts. Prior to joining Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C., Ms. Sorge-Smith practiced for three years as a litigator at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She is licensed to practice in Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
Ms. Sorge-Smith also has extensive experience representing pro bono clients in immigration and poverty law matters. She serves on the Junior Leadership Council of the National Immigrant Justice Center.
Ms. Sorge-Smith earned a B.A. in Political Science and minors in both Spanish and International Studies from Indiana University in 2001, with an honors diploma with distinction, and her J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law in 2007. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Sorge-Smith managed a loan and grant program administered by the Indiana Department of Commerce.
