We are adding to our staff by seeking an experienced legal secretary. This is a great opportunity to join our friendly, successful firm.
Qualified candidates should possess:
3 - 5 years of legal experience, supporting attorneys in all practice groups including, but not limited to: litigation, corporate, real estate, estate planning, labor law;
Extensive experience in producing large, complex pleadings and transactional documents;
Thorough knowledge of legal terminology; State, Federal and Appellate court filing mandates, including e-filing;
Strong experience working with digital transcription systems; proofing; editing; redlining and blacklining; points/authorities; table of contents and accurately typing 70+WPM;
Advanced proficiency in Outlook, Word, FileSite, iManage, Excel, Elite, e-Copy, Power-Point; knowledge of Summation and Case Logistix a plus;
Positive attitude; strong written and verbal communication skills; impeccable attendance and punctuality and a superior work ethic;
Strong ability to organize and prioritize heavy workload and use own judgment to efficiently meet all deadlines; understand and follow specific and detailed instructions; and display a professional manner with clients, attorneys and paralegals;
Exemplary time management skills;
Must be comfortable working in what will be, at times, an intense and demanding environment, with flexibility for occasional last minute overtime;
A minimum of an Associate's degree is required.
