Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. seeks a trusts and estates attorney to join the Wealth and Succession Planning Group as a low to mid-level associate. Burke, Warren is an independent, full-service Chicago law firm with 70-plus attorneys representing clients locally and nationally.
The candidate must be admitted to the Illinois Bar, must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Illinois Bar.
The candidate should have a minimum of 2+ years of trusts and estates experience working with high net-worth individuals in the drafting of wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, irrevocable trusts and other estate planning documents. Ideally, the candidate also would have experience with decedent's estates, gift tax returns and estate tax returns as well as familiarity with family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, installment sales, and other related transactions helpful. The candidate should also have a basic and growing understanding of state and federal tax laws.
