Wealth and Succession Planning Attorney

Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. seeks an attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join its active and highly collaborative Wealth and Succession Planning Group.

The candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of trusts and estates experience working with high net-worth individuals in the drafting of wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, irrevocable trusts and other estate planning documents. Ideally, the candidate also would have experience with decedent's estates, gift tax returns and estate tax returns. Familiarity with family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, installment sales, and other related transactions helpful. Should have a basic and growing understanding of state and federal tax laws.

Desired Skills and Requirements:


The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school, and must be admitted to, and in good standing with, the Illinois Bar.

Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. seeks a talented and energetic corporate and M&A-focused attorney at the senior associate/non-equity partner (director) level who possesses 7+ years of law firm experience to join its active and highly collaborative Corporate Group. The candidate should have broad based and sophisticated corporate and M&A experience coupled and a growing book of business at the $200,000+ level or a demonstrated ability to handle clients and a desire to bring in new business.

The ideal candidate would have advanced transactional experience that includes managing/leading M&A transactions, drafting and negotiating corporate and transactional documents (including M&A agreements and/or related ancillary documents), LLC/shareholder agreements, and commercial agreements. We seek a candidate with experience leading M&A projects from start to finish, working directly with clients, and an ability to manage a legal team. Experience in advising clients on a variety of general corporate matters is strongly preferred. Tax Exempt Partner

Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. is looking for an attorney with experience providing corporate and tax services to tax-exempt organizations. This position calls for an attorney with superior credentials and six or more years of experience as well as an established practice. The opportunity would be available to an attorney who has started such a practice and wants to grow it as part of a well-established team that represents tax-exempt organizations. Candidate experience can include educational, health care, social services, religious organizations or associations, foundations, museums or other tax-exempt institutions.
