Bill Kelly represents privately and publicly held corporate clients in complex corporate and financial transactions with a special concentration in issues relating to motor vehicle franchises. In addition to a continuing representation of a number of motor vehicle dealers in their day-to-day matters, he has represented dealers in disputes with their franchisors; in the acquisitions and disposition of their businesses; in acquisition, financing and development of their facilities; in the planning and implementation of transfer of business interests from one generation to another; and as special counsel.
Prior to joining Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, he practiced at Rosenthal & Schanfield in Chicago. Mr. Kelly received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, in 1962, and his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law in 1966. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern Central Districts of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Illinois Supreme Court.
Bill Kelly has been the principal attorney in the sale or purchase of more than 250 motor vehicle franchise businesses.
