Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. seeks a talented and energetic corporate and M&A-focused attorney at the senior associate/non-equity partner (director) level who possesses 7+ years of law firm experience to join its active and highly collaborative Corporate Group. The candidate should have broad based and sophisticated corporate and M&A experience coupled and a growing book of business at the $200,000+ level or a demonstrated ability to handle clients and a desire to bring in new business.
Burke Warren is an independent, full-service Chicago law firm with nearly 70 attorneys representing clients locally, nationally, and worldwide. We pride ourselves on our collaborative and collegial culture. If you are smart, friendly, eager to learn, and looking for a “forever firm” with a good work-life balance and plenty of opportunity for growth and leadership, we want to hear from you.
The ideal candidate would have advanced transactional experience that includes managing/leading M&A transactions, drafting and negotiating corporate and transactional documents (including M&A agreements and/or related ancillary documents), LLC/shareholder agreements, and commercial agreements. We seek a candidate with experience leading M&A projects from start to finish, working directly with clients, and an ability to manage a legal team. Experience in advising clients on a variety of general corporate matters is strongly preferred. The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school, and must be admitted to, and in good standing with, the Illinois Bar.
