James C. Geoly Elected to Catholic Lawyers Guild Board
The Firm’s Jim Geoly was recently elected to the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Chicago’s Board of Governors. The Guild, along with its partners in the Catholic Charities Legal Assistance of the Archdiocese of Chicago, provides volunteer opportunities for licensed attorneys in the Chicago area with the purpose of promoting the application of Catholic principles to the legal profession.
As a senior member of the Firm’s Religious and Not-For-Profit Organizations practice, Mr. Geoly handles cases in state and federal courts, before administrative agencies, and has extensive appellate experience. He has also filed numerous briefs in the Supreme Court. Mr. Geoly has litigated issues concentrating on constitutional law, religious liberty, not-for-profit corporate control, professional and clergy misconduct, insurance coverage and privilege and confidentiality.
