Sheila M. Prendergast Joins Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella’s Litigation Practice Group
Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella is pleased to welcome Sheila M. Prendergast as a Partner in the Firm’s Litigation practice group.
Sheila represents institutional and individual clients in both federal and state court litigation at both the trial and appellate level. She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation involving contract disputes, business torts, products liability, trade secret misappropriation, consumer protection, government investigations, and other civil, commercial, and class action matters. Sheila has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation and has successfully litigated cases in state and federal courts across the United States, achieving favorable outcomes in matters involving contracts, employment, toxic torts, false advertising, and other business disputes. Sheila also provides a wide range of pro bono legal services in the community.
Prior to joining Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, Sheila worked in the Chicago office of a national law firm as a Senior Managing Associate. Sheila also served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable William J. Bauer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Prior to law school, Sheila taught high school English in Washington D.C.
Sheila earned her J.D., cum laude, at Notre Dame Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of College and University Law and earned accolades as an American Association of Justice 2014 STAC National Champion, and the Edward F. Barrett Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. Sheila earned her M.A. at American University and her B.A., cum laude, at Georgetown University.
