News

Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella is pleased to announce that six attorneys have been selected to the 2025 Illinois Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists, with five repeat awardees and one new awardee.

This announcement follows the Firm’s recognition as a 2025 Best Law Firm in Commercial Litigation by Best Lawyers®, as well as the selection of Joseph Roddy and Jayne Bart-Plange to their Best Lawyers list.

We congratulate the following attorneys included in this year’s selection:

2025 Illinois Super Lawyers

  • Nicholas Gowen (Litigation)
  • Christopher Kentra (Litigation)
  • Douglas Wambach (Real Estate)

2025 Illinois Rising Stars

  • Luca Giovine (Litigation, new addition in 2025)
  • Brian Hingston (Litigation and Religious Organizations)
  • Brian Welch (Restructuring, Insolvency, and Bankruptcy)

Super Lawyers is a prestigious award only given to the top five percent of attorneys in each state. Selection is based on peer nominations and evaluations, as well as extensive independent research in the legal industry. Rising Stars have an even narrower margin, with only 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state recognized. Rising Stars must be 40 years old or younger or have been in practice for 10 years or less.
