Burke Warren client, MAAFA Redemption Project, celebrates the development of the 60,000 s.f. Sankofa Village in the West Garfield Park Community, on Chicago's west side. The vision, spearheaded by the MAAFA Redemption Project, was to help restore key resources, that allow communities and residents to thrive, back into a disinvested neighborhood. Burke Warren partners Steve Schuster, Matt Norton and Dave Schoenerr are leading the effort, while partner, Karen Kavanagh Mack represents an affiliated entity in property tax appeals.
