Jay Statland is a Partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. and Chair of the Firm's Automotive Franchise group. Jay is a member of the Firm's Corporate, Automotive Franchise, Real Estate, and Litigation groups. Jay represents automobile dealers, focusing on manufacturer relations, acquisitions and dispositions of automobile dealerships, dealership real estate, and related dealership litigation. He was the attorney of record in two of the most frequently cited pro-dealership cases in the State of Illinois.

Jay's practice also includes representation of closely held businesses, commercial real estate transactions, restaurant establishment and licensing matters, and complex litigation. He has represented clients in litigation matters in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, California, New York, Georgia, Missouri, and Florida. He has been class counsel in several class actions resulting in class settlements and judgments. His practice has also included the representation of attorneys and members of the judiciary.
