Jeremy Kleinman is a Partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. He is a member of the Firm’s Restructuring, Insolvency, and Bankruptcy group. Jeremy’s practice is focused on the representation of debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, commercial landlords, creditors’ committees, trustees, and other clients in all stages of Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Outside of bankruptcy, Jeremy has also represented an assignee for the benefit of creditors and a state-court appointed receiver. 

Additionally, Jeremy has extensive experience litigating preference and fraudulent conveyance avoidance actions, claim disputes, and other bankruptcy-related disputes. Jeremy has confirmed multiple successful Chapter 11 plans and recently confirmed a Subchapter V plan on behalf of a consumer electronics manufacturer.

Prior to joining Burke Warren’s Restructuring, Insolvency, and Bankruptcy group, Jeremy was an Associate at Chicago-based FrankGecker LLP. Earlier in his career, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable John D. Schwartz, Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Illinois, and served as an Associate at Quarles & Brady, LLP and D’Ancona & Pflaum, LLC. Jeremy is also a frequent speaker on bankruptcy-related topics for clients and trade groups throughout the country.
