Christopher Sullivan is a Partner in the Litigation group at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Christopher is an accomplished trial lawyer who advises clients on business disputes in state and federal courts across the country. His litigation experience includes class actions, antitrust, contract claims, cybersecurity and data privacy matters, government enforcement & internal investigations, insurance coverage, and shareholder disputes.
In addition to his litigation experience, Christopher acts as outside general counsel for companies, particularly in the food & beverage space. His work includes providing legal advice on regulatory, labor & employment, contractual matters, and other business matters.
Christopher also devotes a significant portion of his practice to counseling his clients on compliance issues and security vulnerabilities related to data privacy and website privacy measures to help mitigate risk and potential litigation. His experience in this area includes advising a global social media platform on compliance with the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), as well as counseling public sector entities on website data compliance standards under various state, federal and international requirements. Additionally, Christopher represented a Fortune 500 entity in response to a cybersecurity breach to comply with data breach notification laws under GDPR and establish post-breach data security measures.
Prior to joining private practice, Christopher served as a prosecutor for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office where he handled complex criminal matters and investigations at the state and federal level including numerous jury trials.
