Thomas Placzek is an Associate at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. and is a member of the Firm’s Insurance Recovery and Litigation practice groups. He has experience in commercial and financial services litigation, as well as complex insurance coverage disputes.

Prior to joining the Firm, Tom was an Associate at Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP, where he worked on a wide range of complex insurance coverage matters. Tom has been recognized as an Illinois Rising Star by Super Lawyers for 2024 through 2026 in the areas of Insurance Coverage and Civil Litigation.

Tom earned his B.S. in Political Science from Texas Christian University and his J.D. from University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where he served as Administrative Editor for the Review of Intellectual Property Law.
