Chris Kentra and Blake Roter, Co-Chairs of the Firm’s Insurance Recovery Practice Group, will speak next week at the 2025 Annual Conference of the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The event brings together leaders of employee-owned companies with experts and advisors – attorneys, accountants, consultants, trustees, and others – to discuss legal and corporate developments and strategies. This is the second straight year in which Chris and Blake have presented at the NCEO Annual Conference.

Together with Chris Nemeth of McDermott Will & Emery, Chris and Blake will present: “How to Make Sure That Insurance and Indemnification Agreements Work for You.” They will discuss the indemnification agreements, often entered into between and among employee-owned companies, trustees, and service providers, to enable all parties to prepare for potential circumstances before they arise, including through the insurance they buy.

The case studies covered will provide attendees with useful knowledge about indemnification provisions and the importance of procuring appropriate insurance to provide coverage for indemnification obligations and other potential events that arise. The Firm’s Insurance Recovery Practice Group has addressed, and continues to address, these issues on a regular basis in its work for policyholders and clients who are parties to indemnification agreements.
