Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella’s Commitment to Community 2024

At Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, we believe in giving back to our community and using our legal knowledge to make a positive difference. In 2024, we proudly contributed approximately 650 hours of pro bono legal services, with 23 team members stepping up to support various causes and clients in need. Our attorneys staffed legal aid help desks and handled numerous significant matters for clients, both litigation and transactional, in state and federal court, as appointed and voluntary counsel, in various areas of law, including civil rights.

Our firm’s commitment to pro bono work shines through the exceptional efforts of our Pro Bono All-Stars, who performed greater than 10 hours of work:

Each of these individuals demonstrated extraordinary dedication, embodying the spirit of service and advocacy that defines our firm. Their hard work and compassion have made a lasting impact on the lives of those they’ve helped.

The firm also raised nearly $20,000 for the Chicago Bar Foundation Investing in Justice Campaign, including a 70% attorney participation rate, which funds are utilized to provide grants to various area legal aid organizations, while also hosting a CLE pro bono luncheon featuring speaker Ian Turnipseed from North Suburban Legal Aid, who lectured regarding fair housing laws.
